As the founder of Minority Watch, he has dedicated his career to advocating for the rights of marginalized communities, including religious minorities, women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and linguistic groups. Shatil’s writing spans fiction, investigative journalism, essays, and satire, often challenging social injustice, religious extremism, and promoting free thought and scientific reasoning. Facing threats for his outspoken activism, Shatil left Bangladesh in 2024 and continues his mission internationally through his writing and online platforms. His work is known for its emotional depth, intellectual rigor, and unwavering commitment to truth, justice, and human dignity.
